The ULTIMATE reference guide...

I first stumbled across an earlier print copy of this in my teammate's room when I was a freshman in college...and I stole it. The guide changed my life then, and it continues to do so now. This isn't just a how-to or an explanation-of. It's an everything book. There are few subject areas that this doesn't cover, and it's bound to answer pretty much any question you have. I bought this Kindle version to have an updated one and to make sure that I always have access to it. I've always thought it was amazing and it's only gotten better. The illustrations and the straightforward writing style make it very approachable and easy to understand. And buying the Kindle version means no one can steal it from you either.

Education is good thing, for everyone

A great book for those who know a thing or three about the horizontal mambo. Informative yet entertaining. It's not a book I would use to teach the basics of the birds and bees to a 10 year old, but highly suggest it to that teen who you suspect is promiscuous. Why did I say that? Knowledge is power. You just cant say abstain from sex. It didn't work when I was a teen, it didn't work when our grandparents were teens. The difference here is that it is real facts broken down really easy. Answers both the easy and tuff questions and isn't coming from this higher authority who tells you "just don't do it". Covers self consciences and our bodies to the psychological mindset of both the male and female to the after effects of, "now what". Any pictures in the book are artsy or for pure educational value. I've seen racier pictures in a VS catalog.
Just for your FYI, it does talk about relations as a same sex couple. If that offends you then I'm not sure why you are even looking for a book about sex. Whether you like it or not, it still is a topic that should be discussed with your growing teens mind. No matter what you do or say, you're not going to be able to control their lives all the time, every minute of the day. Again, people, educate yourselves so you can educate them. I am a straight male. I've never been with another man. I haven't thought about it, and at this stage in my life (37), not sure would I consider it. That's me. That may not be the way my children choose. Would I be ok with them having an alternative lifestyle? Yes and No. Not my choice who they want to be with, and I am ok with that too, as long as they know why.

Should be required reading for the entire human race

Plainly spoken, light, oft humorous, hits every topic, and I love that it addresses sexual "health" questions you didn't know you had-esp. for the opposite sex. I feel that part of it debunks the notion that our bodies are "gross" and its functions are revolting. (Well-some of them. *wink*) A good portion of the book is technique, but it's so much more than that. Even if you've read all the booksl, even if you think you know all there is to know, read this anyway. You will not only learn something (I had no idea there was actually a biochemical reason Sperm burns your eyes, and it does btw) , you will enjoy the learning process. Could easily function as a "get things rolling" book for couples, or an educational manual. I wish there was a little more on the emotional role of sex, but then again with phrases like this : "If you aren't equal partners in sex, you aren't equal partners period. Is that really what you want?" I suppose you don't need to say much more, do you? I've read a lot of sex books, this one is up there with the best.
