Another great book by J.B. Simmons
By Roy Jageman
I read Unbound and Clothed With the Sun in about 4 days. I could not put them down. They are some of the best books I have read in a while and they really make me think about the future.
Clothed With the Sun picks up where Unbound left off. The story is fast paced and compelling. It has a heavier feel than Unbound, as Elijah struggles to between his calling and lack of faith. He is lost and alone, but at the center of a struggle for the world.
I really enjoy seeing the story unfold from Elijah's point of view. He is a compelling person and has a disarming honesty and strong character.
I think this series will be enjoyable for a wide audience. For believers it gives a different futuristic view than the typical novel of the end times -- all of the ones I have read are set in today's time frame. For everyone else, it is a great story with a refreshingly different science fiction. I will have trouble waiting for the final installment. Highly recommended.

Clothed With The Sun was a very engaging, interesting story about the end of times. It is a sequel to Unbound. Is reading Unbound a true requirement to reading or enjoying this book? No, but it will definitely make things clearer. If you decide not to read Unbound first, for whatever reason, the author will give you enough information that you will be able to deduce the general gist of what happened previously.
The book while dealing with end of times, is definitely a plausible series of events that could happen over time. I won't give too much away, but something in the not too distant future, could actually be androids building things or doing work and a fully immersible virtual reality.
The book starts out with Elijah and Naomi stuck in the desert with Jacques and Camille. While they appreciate the safety and security of being isolated, they are thinking about how to get away. Then Jacques decides they need to replenish supplies. Naomi questions further and Jacques reveals that Elijah won't be coming back. Naomi and Elijah decide to make a run for it.
Some minor spoilers.
Naomi and Elijah do escape, but they get separated. Elijah hopes that Naomi is safe, but has no way of contacting her. Elijah gets `captured' by Aisha and returns to civilization. After readjusting, he realizes that he must face Cristo. I won't spoil anything else here.
No more spoilers
This book is definitely a great read and keeps you interested and thinking until the end. (Besides the fact that you will want the next book). The author has a unique way of writing that I find very interesting and well thought out. It doesn't follow standard fare for a lot of end of times books. I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope you will too!

Un-putdownable. The supernatural elements of Revelations woven in unexpected ways.
By Michael A
The short version: I am really enjoying the series.
I have just read Unbound and Clothed with the Sun in short order, and they are both really difficult to put down. The core characters are easy to follow, and I have developed a real interest and empathy for them.
And wow. The involvement of both sides of the supernatural in the unfolding events is something I hadn’t imagined.
I feel that this is written perhaps more to a YA audience, though I think it will be enjoyed by a wider group regardless. The writing style is simple and direct, and as made clear from the first page of the book, written solely from the perspective of Elijah Roeh. I could wish for greater depth to the characters. Also, no multiple threads that I’d been accustomed to in many other fiction works, though this is not necessarily a bad thing.
Like Ryan Paige Howard who reviewed Unbound (Book 1 in the Omega Trilogy), I too do not share the same perspective as the narrative regarding the specific period of time that the dragon is first bound (and who is to be unbound for a while), but that is okay since the author plainly states that the material - while it has some basis in Scripture - is of the author’s imagination and does not declare it official dogma as such. This in no way detracts from its un-putdownability (dictionary editors, take note — the next candidate after “twerk”).
Is it worth your time? For those with an interest in end-times stories, Yes. It is absolutely entertaining and, at times, thought-provoking.
I look forward to the last book, Great White Throne. I hope you’re nearly done J.B.!
