About the Author
After majoring in English Literature with a concentration in Medieval and Folklore studies, Debra promptly sold out to the corporate world, occasionally dabbling in writing marketing copy and op/ed articles for a local city paper. By day, she designs compensation programs, after dark she stuffs her nose into obscure mythology, and feverishly writes her novels. A DEMON BOUND is her debut novel. Debra lives on a farm in Maryland with Sweetie, three sons, and a Noah’s ark of four legged family members. Unlike her protagonist, she drives an old PT Cruiser, couldn’t carry a tune if you duct taped it to her back, and enjoys an occasional cosmopolitan (heavy on the vodka). On a good day, she jogs and horseback rides, hopefully managing to keep the horse between herself and the ground. Her only known super power is ‘Identify Roadkill’.

If you like an Anti-hero as much as I do, try this series

A great series. Buy this one, then buy the rest. If you enjoy perversity (not perversion, that's another thing entirely, and that's present too), you'll love the anti-hero. This gets a solid 5 stars. It's not that it's amazing, award-winning writing. It's not, its solid urban fantasy/romance. But the author had a demon main character, and she made the demon demonic. And still likeable. That is freakin' AWESOME. I've been through the first 5 books now, and it's been a consistent 4 star story that gets 5 for the main character.

"This grew on me after I finished it and gave it more thought. I am keeping my original rating because I still have problems with the primary character who is an unrepentant slum lord, eats her own finger, tortures and kills people for pleasure and then dismembers and arranges their body parts "artistically", enjoys sex rough enough to leave her arm hanging by a tendon, admires John Wayne Gacy and Ted Bundy, etc. But, that said, there are some interesting parts to it and if the author had made the main character more likable, this would have been a very good series."
My position: If the author had made the character more likeable, she wouldn't have been interesting in the first place. I love her because of all those examples.

The Imps story continues, and is very worth reading.

I was really impressed with the first book in the series, and I continue to be impressed. These books are easily worth their price. The characterization of the lead demon, Samantha, is brutal and direct. I like her, and wish I knew her personally. After reading books 2 and 3, I purchased 4, 5, and 6.

Sam's next adventure introduces her interesting family. The second in this series will not disappoint a fun adventure with Sam's mischievous humor. This series has a unique plot, that I enjoyed.
